Women on the other hand have very active relationships with doctors for the most part. I'm not jealous of this relationship mind you. As a man who's had not one, but two vasectomies I can tell you I don't have any desire to ever be in stirrups (again). At the same time there are so many treatments specifically designed for women, scheduled check-ups and the like. Again, this probably has something to do with their willingness to actually attend these check-ups.
Upon reflection, I feel I was being too quick to judge and not looking at the larger picture. The fact of the matter is that there are a multitude of procedures and medicine that is targeted directly at males; breast augmentation being one of the first and still one of the most successfully of these. The recent introduction of "erectile dysfunction" medications such as Viagra and Cialis are certainly a boon to men as well. But it was a recent visit to the doctor that made me realize the benevolent influence of modern medicine on the lives of men. It seems that medical research has finally begun to tackle one of the areas of greatest needs for all men and truly change our lives for the best. I knew this to be the case when I found the following brochure on the doctor's wall...
